Spend the afternoon with me, talking, watching funny things on the internet – laptop held on your chest, my head on your shoulder. Occasionally one of us disentagles themselves to fetch a snack from the kitchen back to the bed. We'll talk about the weather, goldfish, diamonds, India, your mom. We'll enjoy tens of minutes without talking, listening to the rain on the windows, or your heartbeat through your chest. Our minds will unwind, fluff up again. We'll love each other up a bit, feel our happy selves more fully. We won't entierly come back to earth when we leave, we'll walk lighter.
Sometimes, what you really want is some snuggling.
